Montclair, NJ - Montclair Ambulance Unit is pleased to announce that plans are underway for EMS Week 2016 (May 15-21) with this year's theme, "EMS STRONG: Called to Care".
National EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line."
Tentative plans for this years event include a "town hall" style event to introduce MAU and its services and a community wide CPR class. Check MVAU.org and our social media for more information.
On March 19, 2011 Montclair Ambulance Unit participated in the first "Red Zone" exercise along with public safety agencies from New Jersey and New York in preparation for Super Bowl XLVIII that was held in 2014 at MetLife Stadium.
"Red Zone" was the first of many exercises to prepare EMS, Fire and Law Enforcement for a potential mass casualty incident at the 82,000 seat venue.
