Frozen in Time.....
Montclair, NJ - Montclair Ambulance Unit is pleased to announce the return of our St. Patrick's Day Benefit for the seventh year on March 3, 2018 at the Commonwealth Club in Upper Montclair.
Highlighting the event will be the honoring two of MAU's long time supporters, Diane Esty & Charles Fischer of the Montclair Foundation/VanVleck House and Gardens.
Both, Diane and Charles, have long supported the Mission of MAU in various ways through the years with their generosity and knowledge.
The event will also include live entertainment from the School of Rock, Jazz House Kids and Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance.

On, December 9, 2011, Montclair Ambulance Unit said goodbye to longtime staffer Robert Whitehill as he finished his last shift at MAU.
Robert would go on to author the Ben Blackshaw Series, a successful book franchise that will soon be major motion picture.
Starting as a volunteer and later a career member of MAU, Robert spent his shift downtime penning the first of four Blackshaw thrillers, Deadrise, which he dedicated to his fellow EMTs at MAU. At the end Robert acknowledged his colleagues writing:
"The steadfast men and women named here, many of whom served on the pile in New York City on September 11th, 2001, or who have served us bravely and with great sacrifice in the military, are supported by a dedicated board of directors, a crack team of Advanced Life Support medics, and our area emergency department doctors, nurses, and staff. Officers of the Montclair Police Department and firefighters of the Montclair Fire Department are always eager to lend a helping hand with our toughest cases. Together, they make the life-or-death difference on a 911 call in our town. I have witnessed miracles with them."
Robert will always be a member of the MAU family.
Montclair, NJ - Montclair Ambulance Unit (MAU), University Hospital’s Center for Emergency Preparedness and Response (CEPR) and the Wellmont Theater would like to thank all who attended our FEMA: Until Help Arrives class on Tuesday, January 30.
"The class was very informative. Thank you, MAU, for inviting us to this", said one of the dozens in attendance.
The near three hour class gave attendees a valuable stream of information ranging from what information a 9-1-1 dispatcher will need to how to apply a tourniquet to control bleeding.
MAU will be working with CEPR to bring another offering to Montclair in the near future.
